Hyaluronic acid is hydrophilic — it draws and holds water from your body, so Profhilo performs as a hydrator unlike dermal filler. Does Profhilo change the shape of your face?
No. Unlike dermal fillers it does not change the shape of your face; it rejuvenates your skin and makes it look and feel younger, tighter and more hydrated.
How long does Profhilo last?
On average results last around 9 months, though it may last longer for some clients. We advise this treatment every 6 months for the best results.
Should I have any concerns with Profhilo?
Common side effects are slight bruising and swelling. On very rare occasions allergic reactions can occur; your trained practitioner will assess this after injecting a small amount first.
What ingredients are used in Profhilo?
Profhilo contains 50% low molecular weight hyaluronic acid and 50% high molecular weight hyaluronic acid, each with different advantages for the skin.
Can vegans have Profhilo treatment?
Hyaluronic acid is vegan as it is derived from plant extracts or artificially synthesised.
